Three men and a juvenile have been arrested after a shooting in Jacksonville Friday that left two people injured.
At around 3:11 p.m. on Friday afternoon, officers responded to the area of Liberty Drive and Corbin Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, the officers rendered aid to two who had been shot, according to a press release from the Jacksonville Police Department.
The victims were transported to an area hospital and listed in stable condition. At this time, their identities are not being released.
Niyssim Rogers, Diates Arnold, and Jimmy Carol Rochelle Jr. were identified as the shooting suspects, while a fourth subject was arrested, but is a juvenile and their name will not be released.
Rogers, 18, of Jacksonville, Arnold, 19, of Jacksonville, and Rochelle of Maple Hill were all charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon serious injury, and felony conspiracy.
"This is still an active and ongoing investigation and more information will be released as it is available," said Jacksonville Police Investigative Services Lieutenant Anthony Ricks. "This was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public. We ask that if anyone has any information, please contact us."
